4 Believed Dead in Crash of Copter in Gulf; 2 Saved

LAKE CHARLES, La. — A helicopter carrying oil company workers crashed in the Gulf of Mexico early Friday, and four people were missing and believed dead, officials said.
A search was under way for the missing workers. Two passengers who were rescued by a workboat were in serious condition at a hospital with leg and chest injuries, a spokesman said.
The helicopter, carrying employees of Mobil Oil Exploration & Producing Southeast, went down near an oil rig about 120 miles south of Cameron.
