Staff members from the San Diego Opera are on the road as judges for Metropolitan Opera auditions held in various parts of the country. Karen Keltner, the local company’s associate conductor and music administrator, participated on the judging panel in the Los Angeles regional competition last week. Next week, San Diego Opera education director William Roesch will be in Dallas to judge contestants in the Met’s Southwest Regional finals.
