The executive committee of the National Football League Players Assn., during a meeting in Washington, approved the union’s plan to file a class-action suit that would challenge NFL commissioner Pete Rozelle’s drug-testing policy.
The NFLPA maintains that while the 1982 contract does not allow for random testing, the league has been conducting such tests on some players.
