Edna Mae Dye, 83, founder of the Pinecrest schools, located in the San Fernando Valley and outlying areas. She and her late husband founded the first Pinecrest School in 1951. Today more than 6,000 students attend at several campuses. In Chatsworth on Oct. 19.
