A man who brandished a shotgun at narcotics detectives attempting to serve search warrants at a Carson home was shot and killed, authorities said.
The shooting occurred when detectives attempted to serve the warrants at a home in the 21000 block of Main Street on Friday, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy Richard Dinsmoor said.
The name of the 39-year-old man was withheld, pending notification of relatives. It was not immediately known how many deputies were serving the warrants or how many shots were fired at the victim, Dinsmoor said.
Arrested at the home was Amanda Clifford, 30. Clifford, who suffered a cut to her chin while being removed from the house, was named in the warrant, Dinsmoor said. Detectives requested the warrant after a drug purchase at the home by undercover deputies.
