An appeal for money to present the trial lawyers’ side in the fight over California ballot initiatives on auto insurance has been sent out to thousands of attorneys throughout the United States by the Washington-based Assn. of Trial Lawyers of America. “Send money TODAY--as much as you can afford--to help purchase much-needed advertising,” said the letter from association president Bill Wagner. Wagner said the money would be used to urge passage of the trial lawyers’ Proposition 100 and to oppose the insurance industry’s Propositions 101, 104 and 106.
