Thousand Oaks 28, Royal 7--John Mogler kicked 2 field goals and the Lancer defense intercepted 3 passes and recovered a fumble at Thousand Oaks.
Thousand Oaks took a 10-7 lead in the second quarter on Jeff Moore’s 22-yard run--2 plays after he intercepted Pat Ledesma’s pass and returned it 5 yards to the Royal 31. Lance Martin returned an interception 30 yards for a fourth-quarter Lancer touchdown.
Moore was the game’s leading rusher with 88 yards in 16 carries.
Royal’s Jason Jones opened the scoring with a 17-yard run in the second quarter, the first points Thousand Oaks had allowed in 10 quarters.
