Local News in Brief : 38 Arrested in Sting for Soliciting Sex

A Pomona police undercover operation resulted in the arrest of 38 men for soliciting sex for money from plainclothes detectives, officials said Friday.
Undercover female officers walked Holt and Indian Hill avenues posing as prostitutes between 7 p.m. Thursday and 2 a.m. Friday, department spokeswoman Thelma Dwyer said.
The suspects were booked on suspicion of solicitation and held on $500 bail.
