Orange County will continue to enjoy a very favorable jobs-to-population ratio into the next century, according to projections by the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG). SCAG forecasts the county will have 55 jobs for every 100 people (a .55 ratio) in the year 2010. San Bernardino and Riverside counties, on the other hand, will lag behind Orange County. Shown below are the ratios as they existed in 1984 and the projections for 2010.
