Burbank 24, La Canada 22--Burbank defensive back Tarin Cardenaz batted down a 2-point conversion pass intended for tight end Greg Thompson with 30 seconds to play at Burroughs High.
La Canada capped a 64-yard drive with a 17-yard scoring pass from Jim Chamblis to Thompson to cut the Burbank lead to 2 points.
The Bulldogs went ahead, 24-16, when defensive back Chad Peltier intercepted a Chamblis pass and raced 25 yards for a touchdown with 2 minutes to play.
