Ray D. Johnson Jr. was named chairman, president and chief executive of Republic Indemnity Co., the operating subsidiary of Republic American Corp., an Encino workers’ compensation insurance holding company.
Johnson, who was president and chief operations officer of Republic Indemnity from 1982 to 1984, was most recently president and chief executive of National American Insurance Co. of California. He succeeds Gerald J. Kreger, who retired.
