Police arrested a murder suspect in a shooting in which the victim was left dying in the middle of a residential Anaheim street. The identities of the victim and the suspect--who was booked on murder charges--were withheld as officers continued their investigation into the night. About 4:50 p.m. on Sunday, police responded to the 3000 block of West Del Monte Drive, investigating “a call of shots fired,” said Lt. Jack Parra. An officer administered cardiopulmonary resuscitation to the victim, who was found in the street. Paramedics took him to UCI Medical Center, where he died. Police closed off the area and arrested a resident without incident, Parra said. No weapon was found. A motive for the shooting was not immediately known, he said.
