Three members of a polygamous clan were arraigned in Coalville, Utah, on second-degree murder charges in the death of a lawman during a gun battle that ended a 13-day standoff at their farm. Addam Swapp, 27; his brother, Jonathan, 19; and his brother-in-law John Timothy Singer, 21, are charged in the Jan. 28 shooting death of state Corrections Lt. Fred House. Last May, a federal jury convicted Addam Swapp in the Jan. 16 bombing of the Mormon chapel that sparked the siege. Swapp, his brother and Singer were all found guilty of attempted murder of federal agents during the standoff.
