The Motion Picture Export Assn. of America filed a formal complaint against South Korea, charging Seoul with hindering distribution of foreign films and failing to protect copyrights. In a petition to the U.S. Trade Representative, the association said Korea had imposed a de facto quota on film imports that was preventing its members from doing business.
