Prince opened his Lovesexy tour in his hometown of Minneapolis last week but the police shut down the post-performance party a little early. First Prince awed the 13,000 fans at Met Center with a show that featured the star driving onstage in a white Thunderbird and a set rigged with a swing set, a basketball hoop, bed and wind machines. The police broke up the party about 4 a.m. Thursday and cited Prince’s production company for disturbing the peace.
