Rayne Sherman to Head State Design Group

Rayne Sherman, principal of the Sherman Design Group Inc., Long Beach, has been elected to a two-year term as president of the California Legislative Conference of Interior Design (CLCID).
Serving with Sherman are John Martin-Rutherford, San Francisco, vice president; Jack Gabus, Los Angeles, vice president; Pat Lyons, Roseville, secretary; Carl E. Clark, Monrovia, treasurer, and Nikke V. Sosnick, Sacramento, past president.
CLCID is a 5,000-member organization whose purpose is to work for a licensing act for interior designers in California, along with monitoring, advising and influencing legislation affecting the interior design field.
The organization is made up of members of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), International Furnishings and Design Assn. (IFDA), National Homes Fashions League (NHFL), Institute of Business Designers (IBD) and non-affiliated interior designers.
