The article on Jean Michel Basquiat (“The Meaning of Jean Michel Basquiat’s Life,” by William Wilson, Sept. 4) was an insult for every serious artist who spends years perfecting their craftsmanship, without recognition.
My six year-old’s work is a lot better than that garbage! I wouldn’t hang his work in my home even if someone paid me.
