La Canada 13, Crescenta Valley 10--La Canada’s Ross Allan kicked a 35-yard field goal with one second left to give the Spartans the victory at home.
Crescenta Valley running back Vic Ramirez fumbled on the Falcons’ 44-yard line and the ball was recovered by La Canada’s Jason Miller with 1:14 to play, setting up the game-winning kick.
Allan also kicked a 27-yarder to tie the score, 10-10, with 5:33 to play.
La Canada’s Jim Chambliss completed 3 of 9 passes for 41 yards. James Francis rushed for 21 yards and a touchdown and had 2 receptions for 33 yards. Paul Traughber rushed 7 times for 35 yards.
John Whitlock of Crescenta Valley led all rushers with 60 yards in 14 carries. Ramirez had 44 yards in 11 carries.
