Khomeini Rebukes Iran Premier

NICOSIA — Iran’s spiritual leader, the Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, rebuked Prime Minister Hussein Moussavi today for offering to resign, saying he should stop quibbling and get on with his job.
“When the . . . people sacrifice their sons for the sake of Islam it is no time for bickering and resigning,” Tehran Radio quoted Khomeini as saying in a letter to Moussavi, who offered his resignation Monday, citing problems in agreeing on Cabinet appointments with President Ali Khamenei and Parliament.
