A former San Francisco chief administrative officer, Roger Boas, is being investigated by a grand jury as an alleged customer of a brothel that employed underage girls, according to a newspaper report. Boas, 67, who ran unsuccessfully for mayor last year and is a former member of the Board of Supervisors, was identified from photographs by at least three teen-age girls who worked in the brothel, the San Francisco Chronicle reported. A criminal grand jury probing the allegations was expected to finish the investigation within two weeks and turn its findings over to the district attorney for possible prosecution, the paper said. The brothel employed girls aged 14 to 17, principally runaways who could earn up to $600 a day, according to police and court reports, the paper said. The brothel near Mission Dolores was closed after a police raid on April 20.
