Corey Black Rides Peaked to Del Mar Win

DEL MAR — Peaked, ridden by Corey Black, ran wide down the backstretch for the lead and drew clear to win the $38,000 feature race by 2 3/4 lengths at Del Mar Thursday.
Pewter, with Eddie Delahoussaye up, finished second, a half-length in front of Golden Gauntlet, ridden by Chris McCarron.
Peaked covered 6 1/2 furlongs over a fast track in 1:15 2/5 and paid $17.40, $7.80 and $3.20. Pewter returned $4.60 and $2.60, while Golden Gauntlet paid $2.20.
