Swedish Navy Fires at Suspected Intruder Sub

STOCKHOLM — The Swedish Navy fired two rounds of depth charges Thursday at a foreign submarine believed to be boxed in a fiord on Sweden’s western coast, a defense staff spokesman said.
There was no immediate indication whether the possible intruder was harmed, the spokesman added, but said that surveillance would continue in the Stig Fiord, 30 miles north of the west coast port of Goteborg.
