3 Security Guards Shot, 2 Fatally

Three security guards were shot--two of them fatally--in separate incidents in the Los Angeles area late last night and early this morning, police said today.

Henry Wong, 40, a Los Angeles County marshal, was slain while moonlighting as a security guard at an Alhambra restaurant this morning. There was no known motive and the restaurant was not robbed, police said. Israel Martinez, age unknown, was fatally shot while trying to quiet a group of rowdy youths in the Central area of Los Angeles about 11 p.m. Thursday. In the third incident, two robbers shot and wounded security guard Robert Burton, 20, at a Vons market in Willowbrook this morning. Burton was in stable condition.
