Car’s Total Loss but His Timing’s Perfect

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Terry O’Daniel spent three years and $3,200 refurbishing a 1967 Ford Mustang, and he decided it was finally time to get it insured.
He went to an insurance office Wednesday, paid a $112 premium on a policy and drove less than a block before his investment was destroyed in a two-car accident.
O’Daniel, 22, of Charleston, and the other driver were not seriously injured but police said the car was a total loss.
“I’ll never find another Mustang like that,” O’Daniel said. “It took me four years to find that one.”
