Switzerland’s Ministry of Defense has chosen General Dynamics’ “man-portable” Stinger surface-to-air missile for deployment with its armed forces, and approval of the selection by Parliament is expected next year. The Stinger, made in Rancho Cucamonga by General Dynamics’ Valley Systems division, was chosen over the French-built Mistral missile. The company said it could not estimate the size of the contract.
