This is a summary of recent contracts the federal government has awarded or intends to award to recipients in the Los Angeles area.
Hughes Aircraft in Los Angeles has won a $10-million contract from the Navy to provide engineering studies to improve production of the AIM-54C Phoenix long-range air-to-air missile reprogrammable memory board, low sidelobe antenna and high power transmitter. The company also has won a $6.5-million Army contract to supply 720 laser range finders in support of M1A1 tank production. The work will be done in El Segundo and is expected to be completed by May 30, 1991.
