Lemon Grove
Sheriff’s deputies are seeking a woman suspected of shooting a mechanic in the chest in an apparent act of revenge for unsatisfactory repair work on her car.
Homicide Sgt. Manny Castillo said Tuesday that Robert Stevenson was shot about 11 p.m. Monday while he was working on another car in the 3200 block of Buena Vista Avenue in Lemon Grove.
“We have a good idea who she is, and we’re looking for her,” Castillo said, declining to provide details. Stevenson was listed in serious but stable condition Tuesday after surgery at UC San Diego Medical Center.
