Harcourt Brace Jovanovich has appointed Robert E. Evanson chairman of HBJ Parks. HBJ owns and operates Sea World Parks in San Diego, San Antonio, Cleveland and Orlando. It also owns and operates Cypress Gardens and Boardwalk and Baseball, both situated in central Florida.
Evanson, an HBJ senior vice president, will report directly to HBJ Chairman William Jovanovich, according to the company. In July, HBJ said that parks President Jack O. Snyder had resigned. Shortly after that announcement, HBJ said that HBJ executives Ralph Caulo and Peter Jovanovich had taken over management of the parks.
