Business Tax Deductions

Wolf is correct in reminding us of the heavy tax load we pick up because of government’s interpretation of “legitimate” business expenses and how legalized greed leads to immorality . . . not to mention loss of productivity.
He is even too polite. He should have said that the tax law is an incentive to waste and an invitation to steal!
In addition, the revenue which must be raised should be done so in a smarter manner. Consider that if income taxes were cut in half, with offsetting revenue raised through incentive-neutral consumption taxes (nonessential booze, cigarettes, entertainment, luxuries and even gasoline), both the “leakage” of unfair perks and the huge loss in tax evasion could be cut in half!
