American Savings & Loan Assn., Irvine, has appointed W. Brent Robinson, 47, to senior executive vice president and chief of financial services of American Savings. Robinson also was named chairman of American Group Financial Corp., a subsidiary of American Savings’ parent company, Financial Corp. of America. The appointment follows the recent retirement of American Savings’ former chief of financial services, Kenneth W. Krause. Robinson previously was executive vice president and savings division manager of American Savings.
