Soviets Defeat Cuba, 16-11, in Water Polo

SEVILLE, Spain — The Soviet Union won the eight-team, fourth international Seville city water polo tournament by beating Cuba 16-11 in the seventh and last round Sunday.
In other final-round matches, France edged West Germany 12-10, the Netherlands beat Australia, 9-8, and Spain and Yugoslavia tied, 9-9.
The Soviet Union compiled a total of 12 points to win the tournament, followed by Yugoslavia, Spain and West Germany, with 10 points each. Cuba had six points, France four, and the Netherlands and Australia two points each.
Spain’s Manuel Estiarte was the high scorer of the tournament with 29 goals.
An estimated crowd of 1,000 watched the final matches at the Club Nautico swimming pool.
