Three suspected members of the Abu Nidal Palestinian terrorist organization were arrested in Lima, Peru, as they allegedly plotted attacks on the U.S. Consulate and the Israeli embassy, police said. The suspects were identified as Hussein Bouzidi, 36, who was carrying an Algerian passport; Mohammed Abdul Rahman Abed, 19, who carried an Egyptian passport, and Ahmed Assad Mohammed, 19, who carried a Lebanese passport. A Peruvian Interior Ministry statement said police captured the three July 16 after they had engaged in “intelligence activity during a period of several weeks.”
