$2.2 Million in Drugs Found in Limousine

LOS BANOS, Calif. — The California Highway Patrol stopped a white limousine on Interstate 5 Thursday evening, arrested four suspects and seized more than $2.2 million worth of cocaine.
Authorities said Friday that the suspects, whose names were not released, may be members of a Los Angeles street gang.
The arrests were made after a motorist flagged down a highway patrolman just after 6 p.m. to report that the driver of the limousine had waved a pistol at him.
Four CHP officers stopped the limousine a short time later on Interstate 5 about 9 miles south of Los Banos and found two handguns in the car.
The officers said they found three athletic bags in the trunk containing 29 kilograms of cocaine with a street value of more than $2.2 million. They also found another bag containing $160,000 in cash.
The suspects are being held in the Los Banos jail with bail set at $1 million each.
