Local News in Brief : Fullerton : Water Conservation Kits Offered by City
- Share via
The city is offering residents free water conservation kits in a move to cut water consumption by 10%.
The kits, put together by the Metropolitan Water District, contain plastic bags to save water in toilet tanks, a device to restrict the flow from shower heads, and information on other means of conservation. The MWD supplies 40% of the city’s water.
About 2,000 of the kits are available on a first-come, first-served basis at the Water Engineering Office on the third floor of city hall at 303 W. Commonwealth Ave.
Fullerton residents use about 30 million gallons of water a day, city officials said.
