Jackson met briefly Wednesday in Chicago with Democratic National Committee Chairman Paul G. Kirk Jr. to discuss campaigning for the party’s presidential and local candidates, but details of their talk were not disclosed.

Among Jackson’s scheduled campaign appearances are the AME Zion church conference in Charlotte, N. C., on Monday, and the Urban League in Detroit next Wednesday.
