A man was killed Wednesday afternoon after he apparently suffered a heart attack while driving his pickup truck on Interstate 8, the California Highway Patrol said.
The identity of the victim, who was believed to be in his 50s, was not immediately available.
The accident occurred at 2:55 p.m. a quarter of a mile west of Lake Jennings Park Road, a CHP spokeswoman said. The victim was driving in the eastbound lanes.
