Fullerton Hires Offensive Coordinator
Mike Heimerdinger has been hired as offensive coordinator for Cal State Fullerton’s football team, the school announced Monday.
Heimerdinger, 35, has been an assistant at the University of Florida the past six years, but resigned this spring.
He replaces Jerry Brown, who was hired as an assistant coach by the Minnesota Vikings.
“Mike comes to us with remarkable credentials and we were more than fortunate to find someone of his caliber at this time of year,†Fullerton Coach Gene Murphy said.
Heimerdinger, a graduate of Eastern Illinois, was an assistant at the Air Force Academy in 1981 and at North Texas State in 1982.
