Twenty-six flags of 41 nations that will take part in the cycling competition at the Seoul Olympics have disappeared from roadside poles, South Korean police reported.
Police and U.S. military investigators are looking into the possibility that U.S. soldiers stationed in the area may have taken the flags as souvenirs. Four flags, including that of the United States, were recovered from a ditch.
