3 Men Shot in Drive-By Attack
Three men were injured Friday night in a drive-by shooting that was gang-related, Santa Ana police said Saturday.
The shooting occurred shortly after 10:15 p.m. in the 1200 block of South Diamond Street, said Sgt. Joe Esther. Three men were struck by gunfire from a passing car, he said.
They were treated at Coastal Communities Hospital in Santa Ana for “numerous gunshot wounds,†he said. Their conditions ranged from fair to serious, police said.
The victims’ names were not released. Esther said he did not know what type of weapon was involved. Investigators believe the shooting was gang-related but have no suspects, Esther said.
