1,400 Customers Lose Electricity
Several hundred northwest Santa Ana households and businesses were without electricity Saturday night for more than two hours, a utility company official said.
About 1,400 customers lost power in the area around 17th and Bristol Streets at 5:36 p.m., said Gene Carter, spokesman for Southern California Edison.
By 6:10 p.m., power was restored to 1,000 of those customers, and by 7:49 p.m. all power was restored, Carter said.
The reason for the outage is under investigation, he said, adding that two repair crews were checking power lines in the area for the cause.
