Local News in Brief : RTD Bus Strikes Pickup

An RTD bus rear-ended a pickup truck Wednesday in Monterey Park, causing minor injuries to the two drivers and four bus passengers, police said.
The bus was westbound on Garvey Avenue when it struck the 2 1/2-ton stake-bed pickup stopped at a red light about 7:40 a.m., Lt. Jim Burks said. The driver and injured passengers were treated at Garfield Medical Center, RTD spokesman Greg Davy said.
The cause of the crash was under investigation, Davy said.
