Alfred Dunhill, the U.S. subsidiary of London’s Alfred Dunhill Ltd., is opening its first “satellite” store next month at South Coast Plaza.
The almost 900-square-foot store will specialize in custom and special-order tailoring and will include a selection of accessories and ready-to-wear items. Merchandise will include custom suits, shirts and shoes.
Alfred Dunhill already has nine stores in the United States, including one each in San Francisco and Beverly Hills. The satellite store is different because it has smaller square footage and a slightly different merchandise mix, said a company spokesperson. The other stores in the United States range from 1,400 square feet up to 4,800 square feet at the Rodeo Drive store in Beverly Hills. Alfred Dunhill has more than 130 stores throughout the world.
