The Soviet Union plans to enter the U.S. vehicle market for the first time this fall by exporting heavy trucks to the United States, a top Soviet auto industry official said. The official said Avtoexport, the Soviet export arm, has struck an agreement with Global Technology Group of New York to export trucks used for construction purposes to this country, adding that shipments should begin within two to three months, as soon as a distributor is found. The Soviets plan to eventually send 2,500 trucks a year to the United States.
