An area office for the Jewish National Fund has opened at 131 N. Tustin Ave., Suite 200, in Tustin.
The JNF is an international, apolitical agency that has planted more than 180 million trees and reclaimed nearly 300,000 acres of former desert for farming, housing and industry in Israel, according to Vicki Goldish, director of JNF Orange County.
The opening coincides with a fund-raising drive to replant more than 40,000 burned acres of forests, pastures and orchards, Goldish said. Money is also being raised to pay for firefighting equipment and watchtower construction.
