Boise Cascade Corp. reported record net income of $72.2 million in the second quarter, more than double the $35.2 million earned a year ago. Sales rose 7% to $1 billion. The Boise, Ida.-based integrated forest products company said price increases in the paper business and sales volume growth in the office products business contributed to the sharp improvement in earnings.
