Toyota Motor Corp. Executive Vice President Tsutomu Ohshima strongly suggested that the Japanese manufacturer will likely choose its Fremont, Calif., plant operated jointly with General Motors Corp. as the site for small-truck production. There has been persistent speculation as to where Japan’s No. 1 auto maker will produce pick-up trucks for the U.S. market. Ohshima reiterated, however, that the company is still choosing a site.
