Local News in Brief : Countywide : UCI’s Poison Center Gets Toll-Free Number

UCI Medical Center has installed a toll-free telephone number so residents of Orange, San Bernardino, Riverside, Mono and Inyo counties can telephone the university’s Poison Center at no charge.
The number is (800) 544-4404. Callers may also continue to contact the center at (714) 634-6192.
The Poison Center also has two direct lines for use by 911 dispatchers to speed the handling of emergency poisoning calls.
