New Yorker Gored at Pamplona
PAMPLONA, Spain — A New Yorker was gored and 23 other runners were bruised today in Pamplona’s running of the bulls, a raucous dash ahead of pounding hoofs through narrow streets made famous by Ernest Hemingway’s novel “The Sun Also Rises.â€
“It hurts when I sit down but I’d do it all over again,†said Pascal Juang, 21, a native of New York City and recent Stanford University graduate who received a two-inch wound in the backside while running through the cobblestone streets with hundreds of other people and six half-ton fighting bulls.
