Local News in Brief : Fatal Crash Victim Was Canyon Country Man

A driver who was killed when his pickup truck plunged down a 1,500-foot embankment in the Angeles National Forest was identified by the Los Angeles County Coroner’s office Wednesday as David Harris, 18, of Canyon Country.
Harris was killed about 12:30 a.m. Tuesday when he lost control of the pickup on Sand Canyon Road on a curve near Bear Divide, south of Canyon Country, the California Highway Patrol reported.
A passenger in the pickup, Patrick Zaccardo, 17, of Saugus, survived the accident and was being treated for a head injury at Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills, officers said.
