Centennial Alum Views the Scandal

I am a graduate of Centennial High School. Over the years, I have watched one scandal after another from my alma mater.

I read Dick Wagner’s article about Coach Tony Cruz (Times, June 12). The article was very enlightening.

I don’t know anything about Coach Cruz, but I have a nephew who attends Centennial. He is a member of the football team. He states he is attending Centennial to play football, and if he gets an education while he is playing football, well, that will be fine. This is a very sad attitude for a 15-year-old boy to have about school. I hope this is not the philosophy of Coach Cruz.
